Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Study/Falling Man (Backwrap Figure) by Ernest Trova was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,679.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Trova have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,091.18).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Backwrap Figure) von Ernest Trova kam im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.679,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Trova auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study/Falling Man (Wheel Man) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 54.091,18).
