Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Liberty Backwards by Enrique Chagoya for USD 375.00 (€ 330.92). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Enrique Chagoya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homage to Goya II (10 works) in May this year with an auction result of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,632.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Liberty Backwards von Enrique Chagoya für USD 375,00 (€ 330,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enrique Chagoya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Homage to Goya II (10 works) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.632,81).
