The complete set of 10 screenprints in colors, on wove paper, adhered to aluminum soup cans (as issued), all contained in the original cardboard box with screenprinted title.

All signed with initials and numbered 'A.P. 2/5' in black ink, some slightly faded (an artist's proof, the edition was 40), published by Trillium Press, San Francisco.

Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work The Enlightened Savage by Enrique Chagoya. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,070.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Enrique Chagoya have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May this year the work Homage to Goya II (10 works) was auctioned for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,632.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Enlightened Savage von Enrique Chagoya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.070,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Enrique Chagoya konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Homage to Goya II (10 works) für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.632,81) versteigert.
