Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bread of Days: one plate by Enrique Chagoya was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in October 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of USD 625.00 (€ 423.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Enrique Chagoya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homage to Goya II (10 works) in May this year with an auction result of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,632.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Bread of Days: one plate von Enrique Chagoya wurde im Oktober 2009 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 625,00 (€ 423,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enrique Chagoya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Homage to Goya II (10 works) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.632,81).
