Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Medusa by Emily Mae Smith was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 6,096.00 (€ 5,521.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emily Mae Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Broom Life in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 12,350,000.00 (€ 1,341,530.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Medusa von Emily Mae Smith wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.096,00 (€ 5.521,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emily Mae Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Broom Life im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.350.000,00 (€ 1.341.530,22).
