Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Bagnante (Chiara) by Emilio Greco for USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,273.79). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilio Greco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grande Bagnante II, which sold at auction in November 2008 for USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bagnante (Chiara) von Emilio Greco für USD 93.750,00 (€ 85.273,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II beobachtet, die im November 2008 für USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06) versteigert wurde.
