Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Emilio Greco achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work Estrellita sold for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 65,919.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilio Greco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grande Bagnante II, which sold at auction in November 2008 for USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emilio Greco erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Estrellita für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 65.919,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II beobachtet, die im November 2008 für USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06) versteigert wurde.
