Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Emilio Greco could be acquired at Christies in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Collection Gerard Valkier : A lifetime journey with Art. auction, the work Piccola bagnante changed hands for EUR 6,000.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Greco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Bagnante II in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emilio Greco konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Collection Gerard Valkier : A lifetime journey with Art. wechselte die Arbeit Piccola bagnante für EUR 6.000,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06).
