Season III signed and dated 'E Hundley 2010' (on a paper label affixed to the reverse) wood, sound board, inkjet print on kitakata, paper, pins, photographs, string, found lantern, plastic, fabric, ribbon and lacquer 81 1 ⁄ 2 x 60 x 18 1 ⁄ 4 in. (207 x 152.4 x 47cm.) Executed in 2010.
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Let the whole house crash. Season III by Elliott Hundley was auctioned at Christies in New York in December last year. The price achieved of USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,189.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elliott Hundley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landslide in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 123,288.74).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 11.189,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elliott Hundley erzielen.
