In February this year Bonhams held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work The Unraveling, 2008 by Elliott Hundley. The »bidding war« ended at USD 30,600.00 (€ 28,862.48), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Elliott Hundley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landslide in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 123,288.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Unraveling, 2008 von Elliott Hundley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 30.600,00 (€ 28.862,48) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elliott Hundley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landslide im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 123.288,74).
