Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Elie Nadelman could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Day Auction auction, the work Standing Buck changed hands for USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elie Nadelman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horse, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 842,500.00 (€ 681,413.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Elie Nadelman konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Standing Buck für USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Elie Nadelman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horse beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 842.500,00 (€ 681.413,78) versteigert wurde.
