Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Seeing Out Of The BoxConceptual Photographs Online, which included the work Staircase, Bauhaus, Dessau by Edward W. Quigley. The price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,740.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward W. Quigley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15).
