Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Impact – Light Abstraction by Edward W. Quigley was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,268.00 (€ 1,885.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward W. Quigley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.268,00 (€ 1.885,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward W. Quigley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.535,15) versteigert wurde.
