Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, C. 1940 by Edward W. Quigley for EUR 500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Collection Marion Lambert at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edward W. Quigley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, C. 1940 von Edward W. Quigley für EUR 500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Collection Marion Lambert bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward W. Quigley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.535,15).
