Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Wire Rolls) by Edward W. Quigley for USD 382.50 (€ 360.78). This price was achieved in the auction Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward W. Quigley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Wire Rolls) von Edward W. Quigley für USD 382,50 (€ 360,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward W. Quigley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.535,15).
