Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2018 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Limited Edition, which included the work Volksempfänger With Mirror - 1983 by Edward Kienholz. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,560.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Kienholz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Future as an Afterthought in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 141,900.00 (€ 120,601.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Limited Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Volksempfänger With Mirror - 1983 von Edward Kienholz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.560,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Kienholz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Future as an Afterthought im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.900,00 (€ 120.601,73).
