In May 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Policeman by Duane Hanson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 336,000.00 (€ 249,758.42), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Duane Hanson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cowboy sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Policeman von Duane Hanson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 249.758,42) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Duane Hanson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cowboy im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22).
