Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dr. Dain L. Tasker could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Lotus, Wide Open changed hands for USD 11,352.50 (€ 11,489.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dr. Dain L. Tasker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tulips; Lily; and Strelitzia (Bird of Pardise) 3, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,473.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dr. Dain L. Tasker konnte im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Lotus, Wide Open für USD 11.352,50 (€ 11.489,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dr. Dain L. Tasker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tulips; Lily; and Strelitzia (Bird of Pardise) 3 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.473,70) versteigert wurde.
