Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Douglas Huebler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2014. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Variable Piece #70 (In Process) sold for GBP 33,750.00 (€ 42,569.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Douglas Huebler; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Variable Piece #101 sold at auction in September 2016 with the realized price of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 60,801.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Douglas Huebler erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Variable Piece #70 (In Process) für GBP 33.750,00 (€ 42.569,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Douglas Huebler; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Variable Piece #101 im September 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 60.801,52).
