In November 2020 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam, which included the work This Surface Represents A Drawing That Will Be Completed After Its Recipient Has... by Douglas Huebler. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 17,500.00 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Douglas Huebler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Variable Piece #101, which sold at auction in September 2016 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 60,801.52).

Im November 2020 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art: Amsterdam durch, in der auch die Arbeit This Surface Represents A Drawing That Will Be Completed After Its Recipient Has... von Douglas Huebler zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 17.500,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Douglas Huebler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Variable Piece #101 beobachtet, die im September 2016 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 60.801,52) versteigert wurde.
