Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Duration Piece 4 by Douglas Huebler was sold in the First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 25,280.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Douglas Huebler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Variable Piece #101, which sold at auction in September 2016 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 60,801.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Duration Piece 4 von Douglas Huebler wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 25.280,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Douglas Huebler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Variable Piece #101 beobachtet, die im September 2016 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 60.801,52) versteigert wurde.
