Sold at the lower estimate price
This work without title by Derek Jarman was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2007. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,436.07) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Jarman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sightless in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 30,383.54).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Derek Jarman wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.436,07) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Jarman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sightless im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.800,00 (€ 30.383,54).
