Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Derek Jarman was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Christies in London in July 2014. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,364.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Jarman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sightless in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 30,383.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Derek Jarman wurde im Juli 2014 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.364,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Jarman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sightless im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.800,00 (€ 30.383,54).
