Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work But Honeyed Looks Betray by David LaChapelle for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,124.72). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David LaChapelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,884.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit But Honeyed Looks Betray von David LaChapelle für USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.124,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David LaChapelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 35.884,60).
