Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David LaChapelle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2019. In the Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection auction, the work Diesel Jeans, San Francisco, 1994 sold for EUR 12,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David LaChapelle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Addicted to Diamonds, 1997, which sold at auction in May 2016 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,884.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David LaChapelle erzielte im Juni 2019 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Icons of Glamour & Style : The Constantiner Collection wurde die Arbeit Diesel Jeans, San Francisco, 1994 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David LaChapelle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Addicted to Diamonds, 1997 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 35.884,60) versteigert wurde.
