Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work "Double sofas" by David Byrne was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2010. Here, the upper estimate of SEK 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for SEK 13,000.00 (€ 1,348.45). Admittedly, works by David Byrne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,754.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Double sofas" von David Byrne kam im Mai 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von SEK 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für SEK 13.000,00 (€ 1.348,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Byrne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.754,76).
