Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2007 Phillips in London held the auction The Marino Golinelli Collection, which included the work Stairway to Heaven: Democracy by David Byrne. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,893.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by David Byrne have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2007 the work Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood was auctioned for GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,754.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Phillips in London die Auktion The Marino Golinelli Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stairway to Heaven: Democracy von David Byrne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 6.893,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von David Byrne konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2007 die Arbeit Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood für GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.754,76) versteigert.
