The work Writing by David Byrne was sold in the Screen Star: Alexander Heinrici, Master Printer auction at Christies in New York in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 750.00 (€ 643.89), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Byrne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,754.76).

Die Arbeit Writing von David Byrne wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Screen Star: Alexander Heinrici, Master Printer bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 750,00 (€ 643,89) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Byrne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.754,76).
