Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sacred Objects Chinese medicine capsules by David Byrne was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,235.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by David Byrne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,754.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sacred Objects Chinese medicine capsules von David Byrne kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.235,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Byrne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stairway to Heaven: Blue Blood im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.754,76).
