Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY, which included the work Portrait in Orange and Blue by Daniel Gordon. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,449.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Gordon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,088.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait in Orange and Blue von Daniel Gordon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.449,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Gordon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.088,64) versteigert wurde.
