Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work I Crociati (The Crusaders) by Corrado Cagli was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,253.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Corrado Cagli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Spie Al Palo in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 47,120.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit I Crociati (The Crusaders) von Corrado Cagli im September 2011 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.253,03) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Corrado Cagli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Spie Al Palo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.120,00.
