Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lonely Beginning For My Brother by Christopher Wilmarth was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,071.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wilmarth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Leaf #4 in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 229,000.00 (€ 155,909.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lonely Beginning For My Brother von Christopher Wilmarth kam im März 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.071,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wilmarth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Leaf #4 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.000,00 (€ 155.909,59).
