This artwork by Chris Succo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2019. In the New Now auction, the work Edge of Seventeen sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,167.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Succo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Everything In It's Right Place (BKNP), which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 45,000.00 (€ 61,795.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Succo erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Edge of Seventeen für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.167,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chris Succo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Everything In It's Right Place (BKNP) beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 45.000,00 (€ 61.795,38) versteigert wurde.
