Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chaïm Soutine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Bœuf in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 28,165,000.00 (€ 25,618,519.19).

Die Arbeit Femme couchée von Chaïm Soutine kam im Juni 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 168.750,00 (€ 190.716,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chaïm Soutine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Bœuf im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.165.000,00 (€ 25.618.519,19).
