In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Figuras alegóricas changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 441.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Amorales achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Horny Ghost in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Carlos Amorales konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints wechselte die Arbeit Figuras alegóricas für USD 500,00 (€ 441,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Horny Ghost im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81).
