Auction result well in line with expectations
The work From Useless Wonder 01 by Carlos Amorales was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,390.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlos Amorales have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Horny Ghost in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit From Useless Wonder 01 von Carlos Amorales kam im April 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.390,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Horny Ghost im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81).
