It achieved a price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,761.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Amorales achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Horny Ghost in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).

Die Arbeit Double Character Portrait von Carlos Amorales wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | London bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.761,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Horny Ghost im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81).
