Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Waiting To Happen by Canan Tolon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,342.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Canan Tolon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Glitch Iii (From The Glitch Series) in April 2012 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,197.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting To Happen von Canan Tolon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.342,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Canan Tolon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Glitch Iii (From The Glitch Series) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 97.197,92).
