In October 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Glitch XXI by Canan Tolon. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,592.05), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Canan Tolon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Glitch Iii (From The Glitch Series) in April 2012 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,197.92).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Glitch XXI von Canan Tolon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.592,05) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Canan Tolon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Glitch Iii (From The Glitch Series) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 97.197,92).
