Auction result well in line with expectations
The work First Theme Nos. 82-113 by Burgoyne Diller was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. The price achieved of USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,465.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Burgoyne Diller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 47, First Theme in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).
