Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Burgoyne Diller could be acquired at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Swiss Fine Art Sale auction, the work Third Theme changed hands for CHF 2,520.00 (€ 2,298.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CHF 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Burgoyne Diller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 47, First Theme in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Burgoyne Diller konnte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Zürich für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Swiss Fine Art Sale wechselte die Arbeit Third Theme für CHF 2.520,00 (€ 2.298,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Burgoyne Diller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 47, First Theme im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 185.993,11).
