Auction result well in line with expectations
The work First Theme by Burgoyne Diller was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,249.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Burgoyne Diller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 47, First Theme in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).

Die Arbeit First Theme von Burgoyne Diller wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.249,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Burgoyne Diller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 47, First Theme im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 185.993,11).
