Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Burgoyne Diller could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Third Theme (No. 464) changed hands for USD 2,142.00 (€ 1,827.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Burgoyne Diller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Number 47, First Theme in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 185,993.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Burgoyne Diller konnte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Third Theme (No. 464) für USD 2.142,00 (€ 1.827,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Burgoyne Diller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Number 47, First Theme im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 185.993,11).
