This artwork by Buckminster Fuller achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in August this year. In the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction, the work Synergetic Building Construction Octetruss, from Inventions: Twelve Around One sold for USD 1,664.00 (€ 1,535.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Buckminster Fuller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,348.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Buckminster Fuller erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash wurde die Arbeit Synergetic Building Construction Octetruss, from Inventions: Twelve Around One für USD 1.664,00 (€ 1.535,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Buckminster Fuller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.348,19) versteigert wurde.
