It achieved a price of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,895.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Buckminster Fuller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map, which sold at auction in April 2018 for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,348.19).

Die Arbeit Dymaxion Nuclear Growth; together with Preliminary Sketch for Dymaxion House, Fuller Building Unit (two works) von Buckminster Fuller kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.895,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Buckminster Fuller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map beobachtet, die im April 2018 für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.348,19) versteigert wurde.
