Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction Editions & Works on Paper, which included the work Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map by Buckminster Fuller. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,790.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Buckminster Fuller have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2018 the work Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map was auctioned for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,348.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map von Buckminster Fuller zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.790,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Buckminster Fuller konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2018 die Arbeit Dymaxion Air - Ocean World Map für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.348,19) versteigert.
