Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Title Lost In Transit by Bruce Conner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 25,963.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bruce Conner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cannabis Collage in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 631,500.00 (€ 596,993.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Title Lost In Transit von Bruce Conner kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 25.963,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bruce Conner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cannabis Collage im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 631.500,00 (€ 596.993,76).
