This artwork by Brad Kahlhamer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2017. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work U.S.A w/ Trees sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,237.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brad Kahlhamer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Steer Skull, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 27,147.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Brad Kahlhamer erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit U.S.A w/ Trees für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.237,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Brad Kahlhamer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Steer Skull beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 27.147,27) versteigert wurde.
