Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Portrait Of A Friend by Bill Woodrow. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,408.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bill Woodrow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Round the Kitchen Table, which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Friend von Bill Woodrow zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.408,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bill Woodrow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Round the Kitchen Table beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68) versteigert wurde.
