This artwork by Bill Woodrow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2014. In the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Capitol File sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,275.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bill Woodrow; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Round the Kitchen Table sold at auction in September 2015 with the realized price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bill Woodrow erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Capitol File für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.275,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bill Woodrow; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Round the Kitchen Table im September 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68).
